Rembang, May 30, 2022 - Dananto Adi was elected as the chairperson of the 2022-2025 Semen Gresik Workers Union (SKSG) in a General Conference (Mubes), attended by all representatives of cross-functional employees at the Griya Persada Convention Hotel & Resort Bandungan, Semarang Regency.

Adi was appointed as the new chairperson of the SKSG, succeeding Kiagus Yonori Eka through a democratic election. Muchamad Supriyadi, PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) Director of Finance and Human Resources, was invited to the Mubes, as were representatives of the Federation of Indonesian Cement Workers Union and business labor union within the scope of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG).

In his speech, Supriyadi explained that the SKSG should be capable of enhancing organizational solidity and forming reliable human resources due to its strategic position. It is expected to improve collaboration and communication with PTSG management.

Furthermore, the SKSG's members should be capable of becoming role models in the workplace and society because they represent the company's image.

"We encourage SKSG to become a forum for employees to participate in the company activities and support the company to be more competitive," Supriyadi stated in a press release on Monday (30/5).

Dananto Adi, the chairman of SKSG, expressed his commitment to making his organization a forum for fighting for integrity and working together to improve the welfare of members and the company's success.

He was constantly resolved to be trustworthy in performing his duties, asked for support from all parties, and was eager to involve his members in implementing the SKSG's work programs.

Adi continued that the first obstacle he wants to conquer is reaching out to the 249 members at Rembang, Tuban, Gresik, and Jakarta. Therefore, his party will introduce the new SKSG daily management to PTSG and SIG management and hold a roadshow program for the SKSG's members living outside Rembang.

"We are prepared to provide communication access to capture and accommodate their aspirations," he continued.

He said that SKSG had become the company's partner. The main program was implemented, including increasing cooperation and strengthening communication with management and affiliated unions. Excellent communication, he added, would create comfort for the team and company to discuss and absorb the aspirations.

Adi was born in Padang on July 7, 1992, and currently serves as Production Engineer Officer at PTSG. This sports enthusiast previously served as Deputy Chair of SKSG in the previous period.
